79p. Wrap edges chipped and creased with 2" tear at bottom of spine. (9-1/2"x6-1/2") Additional auction items were china, porcelains, glassware, and art objects (more than 900 lots) removed from Thaw's residence at 1710 Spruce Street, Philadelphia. Presumably, the items for auction came after Thaw vacated this home and moved to Florida in 1944, where he died in 1947 at the age of 76. Thaw, son of a railroad baron, was most notorious for his murder of Stanford White on New York's Madison Square Garden rooftop in 1906, over White's previous affair with Thaw's wife, Elizabeth Nesbit.
